American professor visited FAOS
On the 9th of June, Cathie Jo Martin, professor of Political Science at Boston University, visited FAOS to participate in a seminar where she presented parts of her recent book, The Political Construction of Business Interests: Coordination, Growth and Equality (co-authored with Duane Swank, Cambridge University Press 2012).
The book investigates the origins of coordinated capitalism and the circumstances under which employers are persuaded to endorse social policies promoting economic productivity and social solidarity. The book includes in-depth studies of the US, Germany, Denmark and Britain.
