FAOS researcher wins award
Associate professor Christian Lyhne Ibsen receives the ’LERA 2021 John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award’ for his contribution to research that addresses industrial relations/employment problems of international significance.
As the first Dane, Christian Lyhne Ibsen has been chosen as winner of the LERA 2021 John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award for his contribution to research that addresses industrial relations/employment problems of international significance.
Christian Lyhne Ibsen´s research is outstanding and this award speaks highly of his work and its contribution to enlightening labor issues. The committee was most impressed by his use of applied social science research techniques combined with an institutional economist approach to tackle the most timely issues in industrial relations, especially as confounded by the 2008 global financial crisis and the knowledge economy, which has resulted in a popular revolt against elites. In light of a core value of LERA, the committee commends Christian Lyhne Ibsen for directing his research to the fundamental question of how economic prosperity can be coupled with socio-economic equality.
